据今天（6月12日）下午发生坠机事故的印度艾哈迈达巴德机场发言人证实，机场已暂停运营。据航班追踪网站数据，印度航空公司这架飞往英国伦敦的波音787-8“梦想客机”的信号在625英尺（约合190米）高度消失，起飞后还不到1分钟。
据报道，这架飞机也成为全球首架因空难全损的波音787型飞机。
